Significance :

 Sri Rama is the 7th avatar of the Lord Vishnu in Dhasa avatar.Lord Vishnu incarnated himself as Sri Rama for the destruction of Ravana. Sri Ramnavami is celebrated on the ninth day (navami thithi) of the bright fortnight of the month of Chaitra (March-April). The festival is due to the birth of Rama who is remembered for his righteous reign. Sri Ramnavami occurs at the beginning of summer when the sun is in Pisces.
